Egypts Salah shows biggest increase in transfer value in big-five leagues: CIES Football Observatory

The transfer value of Liverpool s Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah has been estimated at €162.8 million by a CIES Football Observatory study, topping the list of players in the five big European leagues.

The 25-year-old Salah leads the list of players, with his value increasing the most over the past six months.

His transfer value went up by €74.7 million, while Manchester City duo Ederson Moraes and Leroy Sané increased by €74.4 million and €63 million respectively.

"Transfer value estimates are based on the exclusive algorithm developed by the CIES Football Observatory research team. This unique widget presents the trends since last summer," CIES said on its website.

Since joining Liverpool last summer from Serie A side Roma, Salah has taken the English Premier League by storm, scoring 24 goals in the league to take his overall tally to 32 goals in 39 appearances on all fronts.

He was instrumental in Egypt s successful campaign in the World Cup qualifiers, which saw the Pharaohs reach football s most prestigious tournament for the first time since 1990.

Salah won the African Player of the Year award and bagged the EA Sports Player of the Month award twice this season.
