Stores and fields of Copts in Koum Raheb village were set on fire by extremists after Copts demanded the reopen of a church.
The only church in the villages was shut down by police following demands of the extremists, but a funeral was held in front of the closed building aroused the anger of young people and deacons in the village, prompting them to open the building by force and sit inside to express their anger.
