During the ordination ceremony of 24 new nuns at St. Tadros monastery in Haret al-Roum, Pope Tawadros II asked them to do their best to keep their vows.
The vows in monasticism are obedience, voluntary poverty, and celibacy.
The ordination ceremony was attended by Bishop Daniel of Maadi, Bishop Rafael the General Bishop of the Churches of downtown Cairo, St. Julius the General Bishop of the Churches of Old Cairo, and St. Marcus Bishop of Damietta and Kafr El-Sheikh.
