Emad Hilmi, human rights activist has told Copts United that Mina Asaad Fahim, the kidnapped child by armed men in Deir Mawas, Minya has been returned home after his family paid a large ransom approaching 2 million pounds.
However policemen did know the kidnappers, they did nothing. Such incidents happen a lot in Minya while police is doing nothing to prevent this organized plan to rob the Copt’s money in Minya and terrify them, Helmi said.
The child was kidnapped by masked and armed men while he was walking with his father last Wednesday. They shot the father and he was transferred to hospital. The family of the child had demonstrated peacefully to demand the return of security in the governorate.
