The Salafis of Arrabit Abu Aziz village, Maragha, Sohag shot yesterday the house of a Christian man called al-Dawy Ezzat Ekladious who tried to call the police but in vain.
Ekladious told Copts United that some Salafis shot his house, and when he called the police, he was told to report at Maragha police station. But, when he went there, Salafis brought their weapons, demolished the house and threw them out.
He added that Salafis are now building a mosque on his land. And his family told him that news and warned him that Salafis are waiting for him to kill him. Upon telling the police officer this, he said: “I can do nothing to them”
Salafists are used to rape the land of the Christians in the village. One year ago, they raped a piece of land owned by a Christian lawyer named Fekry, and they also stole many houses owned by Christians. Unfortunately, police do nothing, said Ekladious.
