A source in the committee supervising the papal elections said the Holy Synod will hold a meeting on June 12 to discuss the suggestions of the bishops about the papal elections and the committee supervising the papal elections. It won't discuss the presidential elections and assured it doesn't favor any of the candidates.
The source added that that the committee did not discuss whether people with dual citizenship are going to vote in the papal elections or not. The regulation mentions that the voter must be an Egyptian, and will vote with the national ID or the Egyptian Passport.
Copts United knew that even bishops with nationalities other than the Egyptian nationality won't vote. He added that the final list of voters may be declared on July 7, 2012. Then, the committee will start receiving the appeals for voters and candidates.
