Eng. Michael Mounir, head of Life Party and head of “Copts of United States” organization, said that Copts don't fear Mursy being the president as Copts of Egypt are stronger than any fears or persons, and they are a significant voting bloc.
Mounir told Copts United that the new president should respect the law and the judiciary, as well as asking his supporters to break their sit-in who demand the return of the dissolved parliament.
He added that Mursy should issue a
Decree concerning the criminalization of discrimination, and protection of freedoms and private property, as well as building of churches.
I advise Mohamed Mursy, to listen to the electoral platform of Shafik in terms of freedom and rights of Copts in Egypt in case he really wants a state of citizenship, he added.
