As the fast of St. Mary starts, which is a feast celebrated by millions of Copts for two weeks, St. Mary monastery in Bayad, Beni Suef, has received thousands of Copts who arrived to celebrate the feast of St. Mary.
It's worth mentioning that its land was blessed by the visit of the holy family, and the monastery was established in the 15th century. It's also said to be the place where Pharaoh's daughter have found the child Moses which is mentioned in Exodus chapter two.
