Morsy is Trying to Dominate the Armed Forces, says a Commander in Egyptian Army

Decision of  president Mohammed Morsy to pension off a number of supreme officials and security leaders made many people worried about the implications of such decisions.

Maj. Gen. Hossam Sweilem, a strategist, told Copts United that such decision comes to protect the president himself and absorb the anger of the people.

Sweilem said that Major General Murad Muwafi, intelligence chief has informed the Presidency and recommended in a report that crossings and tunnels between Egypt and Gaza should be closed, but the president didn't respond as he belongs to Muslim Brotherhood, which has many connections with Hamas.

Major General Mohammad Ali Bilal, commander of the Egyptian forces during the Gulf War, told Copts United that it is not the right time to make such decisions which may bother the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces. He added that such decisions aim at extending the power of the president over the Armed Forces which comes at the interest of MB.
