Hamzawy: It's not acceptable that Morsy has both legislative and executive authorities

Amr Hamzawy, founder of Egypt Freedom Party, said that it's unacceptable that President Morsy has now both legislative and executive powers, and raises further concerns about the monopoly of power by one faction.

He added in a tweet that Morsy has to immediately consult with the national forces to find a democratic way to use the legislative power until the parliament is elected and a new founding committee of the constitution as well.

Hamzawy added that opposing the President is a national and democratic duty when it's a must to have a civil and a democratic state.

Hamzawy also supported the decision to cancel the complimentary constitutional declaration as it puts the Armed Forces in its normal place to only defend the Egyptian borders.
