Galal al-Morra, secretary general of the Salafi-oriented Nour Party, called on the National Salvation Front to consider Egypt’s interests and not to politically support “saboteurs and killers.”
In a press release on Friday, Morra said, “They will be exposed before [the] people sooner or later. By then, people will not have mercy on them. Their destiny will be the same as others currently imprisoned.”
Clashes erupted on Friday among Muslim Brotherhood youth and supporters of opposition forces near the group’s main headquarters in Moqattam, Cairo.
Political forces had earlier called for protests Friday to protest Brotherhood members’ attacks last week against reporters and photojournalists who were covering protests in front of the Guidance Bureau’s office.
