Cairo - Tunisia won its 8 th African Cup of Nations after beating Egypt 24-21 t in the final game in Cairo on Saturday. Immediately after the Ivorian referee blew the final whistle, thousands of supporters of the national team celebrated in the streets of Tunis, honking their horns and clapping their hands in joy.

Following a hard fought match, the Tunisians led by Wissam Hmam and an impressive Haykel Mganem, gradually edged their way to victory showing a better technique and stronger nerves than the Egyptians who had the advantage of playing at home.
Tunisia, Egypt and Algeria which finished third, qualify for the 2011 World Championship in Sweden.
