The decision for drinking alcohol decision to flog him eighty lashes and apply the text of verses 90 and 91 of Surah of Maeda which prohibits drinking alcohol, this decision surprised the lawyer of the accused citizen because it is contrary to the Egyptian Penal Code
Al Kalema center for human rights, has denounced that decision to its violation of the Penal Code and the judiciary because it does not have a text so far punished to flog, as well as the decisions of the Public Prosecution are limited to the assignment of the accused for trial in the event of proven the charge or release him in case of doubt in the charge
The prosecution does not have the right in issuing decisions to sentence with flog or any What happened from that prosecutor  is the first of its kind in the modern history of the Egyptian judiciary may encourage some prosecutors belonging to the stream of political Islam to issue similar decisions in the coming period, unless the State shall take firm and decisive action against these extremists and keep them away from the judiciary
