President Sisi meets with Nabil al-Araby ahead of Arab League summit

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi meet Tuesday morning with Nabil al-Araby, Secretary General of the Arab League, discussing the topics that will be tackled during the coming summit scheduled in March.

Presidency spokesperson Ambassador Alaa Yousef said in a press release, that Egypt will be the “leading country” during the summit, and current and escalating situations in the region will be on the top list of priorities to be discussed.
 
According to the Sisi said during his meeting with Araby that solely military solutions will not be effective to confront terrorism.
 
Sisi also met Tuesday morning with Malian defense minster Tiéman Hubert Coulibaly, to discuss the escalating situation in Libya.
 
Coulibaly offered his condolences over the 21 Egyptian killed earlier this month by a Libyan branch of the Islamic state group, adding that Mali is looking forward to enhance relations between the two countries, especially in military and security cooperation.
