Black box of crahed EgyptAir flight MS804 in condition to attempt extracting recordings – Reuters
 
The Egyptian Investigative Committee, tasked to probe into the crash of EgyptAir flight MS804 into the Mediterranean said Saturday that the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) of the plane is in a condition to attempt extracting recordings, Reuters reported.

Parliament probes into Upper Egypt’s Minya sectarian violence 
 
The Human Rights Committee of the Egyptian Parliament formed a fact-finding committee to investigate into violence incidents that took place in Koum el-Lofy Village, in Upper Egypt, after a number of residents set fire to a house owned by a Christian man over allegations he will transform the house into a church, Youm7 reported lawmaker Tadros Kaldas.

Parliamentarian calls for blocking internet during Thanaweya Amma exmas
 
Deputy of the Education Committee  in the Parliament Hani Abaza has called for blocking the Internet in Egypt during the exam of Thanaweya Amma ( high school diploma) as a way to stop the exam leakage and cheating, Youm7 reported Friday evening.

Egypt’s Parliament discusses allegations of corruption in local wheat Saturday 
 
Fact-funding Committee of the Egyptian Parliament will convene Saturday to discuss allegation of corruption in the local wheat procurement, Youm7 reported. There are allegations of wasting 240 million EGP (about $27 million) of wheat procurement from the silos.
 
Prosecution to consider imprisonment renewal against 7 policemen
 
Egypt’s prosecution will consider Saturday the renewal of imprisonment against seven policemen over accusation of forming a “terrorist cell” inside the Ministry of Interior, Youm7 reported. The policemen were arrested in February while they were on their way to the Egyptian Media Production City to be interviewed by anchorman and journalist Wael al-Ibrashi on detaining four policemen in Delta’s Sharqia governorate.
 
House of Representatives to mull a proposal to establish an independent court for football 
 
The Sports Committee of Egypt’s House of Representatives will consider a proposal to establish a court for football cases; the court to be independent of the Egyptian Football Association, Youm7 reported deputy if Sports and Youth Committee at the parliament Sahr al-Hawari.
