Arab woman are champions

The Arab women deserve to be the subject of this article though they are minimized and marginalized in the Middle East in general. Today, Arab women compete with men in the field of courage. An Iraqi and a Mauritanian women won the Courage Award, announced every year by the US State Department.

The US State Department reported that 10 women won the 2018 Women s Courage Award, among them Aliia Khalaf Saleh, known as Um Qusay, and the Mauritanian Maalouma Said Bint Bilal.

The list for this year included: Ruya Sadat of Afghanistan, Aura Elena Farfan of Guatemala, Julisa Villanueva of Honduras, Alia Khalaf Saleh of Iraq, Maria Elena Perini of Italy, Iman Umarova of Kazakhstan, Fredi Rositi of Kosovo, Maalouma Said Bint Bilal of Mauritania, Kudulf Mukasarasi of Rwanda and Srikan Karonseri of Thailand.

First Lady of America, Melania Trump, handed the trophies to the winners. All the greetings to the ten women and we shall talk in upcoming articles about the Arab champions of women. Moreover, I salute the US State Department and Melinda Trump because they know how to honor the courage women in the Middle East.
