The Egyptian Government has recently decided to take advantage of increasing prices of goods and services by also raising the gas prices too.
Since President Sisi came into power in 2014, there has been no mercy or relief for the Egyptian population. He has led us into the toughest economic reform that Egypt has ever experienced.
Having said that, we also do need to admit that nobody is against the economic reform in general, but rather, there needs to be a better way through reform without causing the Egyptians to hate their lives and feel instability and unsafe because they can t afford the basic cost of living.
Living in a dictatorship, unfortunately, doesn t allow the people to express their pain, suffering or even opinions. One common trait among all dictatorships is that they believe they know best.
In conclusion, I want to reiterate the notion that the absence of political life and political opposition is the main reason the current regime can do anything they want simply because nobody is there to tell them to stop!
