Egyptian side Masry have all but sealed their place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage after crushing Cote d or 4-0 in Seychelles in the first leg of the competition s playoff round on Sunday.
Ahmed Yasser opened the scoring as early as the sixth minute, volleying home from a tight angle after a cross was floated to the far post.
Palestinian striker Mahmoud Wadi doubled the lead in the 14th minute with a far-post header following a free kick before Masry scored twice in stoppage time to complete an impressive victory.
Nigerian Austin Amutu was on target with an easy tap-in into an empty net and striker Ahmed Gomaa added the fourth with a superb overhead kick.
Masry will have an easy mission when they host Cote d or in the second leg in Port Said.
Cote d or s misery was compounded by the Masry loss, having earlier suffered a humiliating 16-1 aggregate defeat by South Africa s Mamelodi Sundowns in the African Champions League preliminary round.
