Egypt continuing disinfection of cultural venues

 The Egyptian Cultural Production Sector headed by theatre director Khaled Galal is continuing its efforts in disinfecting and sterilising cultural venues in the country.

 
Galal revealed that several buildings have already been disinfected, including Hanager Centre for Arts (a venue that comprises a theatre hall, a cinema hall, a large cafeteria and rooms for artists), the Greater Cairo Library in Zamalek and its Islamic Civilisation Library branch.
 
The disinfection operations continue at other venues under the Cultural Production Sector, which operates under Egypt s Ministry of Culture.
 
In addition, Galal revealed that the number of employees has been significantly reduced in all venues to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
 
He also added that all employees suffering from serous chronic diseases and pregnant women have been given an exceptional paid leave in compliance with a decree by the prime minister.
 
For the employees who are present at the venues, the fingerprint attendance system has been suspended and all worker have been instructed about the preventative measures.
