Resurrection Gives us Hope

First I want to say Happy Easter to all the Christians around the world. Today is Easter and this feast is gives us hope. Hope of a new life and hope of new chances. We need this feeling, especially since these days where everything around us is depressing and disappointing.

Easter is a symbol of leaving behind the bad past and beginning new start. Even we can see the disciples of Jesus were frustrated and disappointed, they had fears before the Resurrection. After the Resurrection, however, everything changed. Disappointment changed into hope. Sadness changed into happiness. The end changed into the beginning.

Resurrection is a key to many things such as love, tolerance, and the future. We should follow the Resurrection not just for our spiritual life, but also for our personal lives. When you fall into troubles, or when you face battles, when you feel that you are surrounded with bad fate, remember the Resurrection. Everyone living in the presence of Jesus was facing the same hardships. After the Resurrection, everything has changed.

These days, many people, Christians especially, find themselves disappointed. Many of them are contemplating immigration as a means of relief. Fleeing will not provide a solution to the current problem, it will make it worse. Escaping was never, and will never be a solution. On the contrary, a life of escaping increases troubles and suffering.

We have to keep our hope, so that whatever troubles or suffering we face, we always have the Resurrection. Don’t let anything affect your belief in this truth. You may hear someone tell you that during an Islamic period, you will not be able to practice your freedom, and will have to leave the country. This however, is exactly what they want.

It is important to not listen to any negative words you hear, because you have the Resurrection. We have the teachings of Jesus, of the Bible, and nobody should affect that teaching.  Egypt is your country, and it’s not acceptable for anyone to leave their own country because of fear.
I have known a person who left his country three times, but he returned. When I asked him, “Why did you come back?” His response was that he couldn’t be away of my home. He didn’t feel safe in any other country, although the country he moved to was America. America, the country everyone dreams to travel to. I think it is a common fact that whoever leaves his own country will suffer in the beginning.

Belief in the Resurrection will ease you. It will give you the strength to face all troubles, disappointments, dilemmas, and hardships. From this moment, take the Resurrection as something serious in your life, not just spiritually, but personally.
