Lately I had the chance to know closely some of the Syrian refugee. I can’t deny how much I was feeling sorry for them. I was eager to ask them many questions about everything they saw and how was the situation before they leave their country; however, I thought it might not be the right time to go and open such subjects that might be wounds for them. Any way I could get an idea and recognize some of their traits. Some of their traits are close to the Egyptian traits in many things and different in others. When you see the Syrian you will feel that they are like the Egyptian exactly from Upper Egypt. You will see them kind, humble, struggling to survive, has dreams to be better and improve the quality of their life.
There is no doubt that justice is the main target and dream of human beings. However, the Egyptians are seeking justice in all court rulings that may prove to them that participating in two revolutions was one move towards achieving justice. Couples of days ago, 31 members of the Muslim Brotherhood were sentenced to life imprisonment and 57 were sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of burning St. George Church in Suhag. For 50 years, such crimes are committed in my country without even having a criminal to judge. The Saints church bomb attack is a sad example for that tragedy that has nobody even to be accused!
Arab people shouldn’t be happy to have very bad relations with America, Russia and the West. In fact, we should have been seeking friendship and cooperation with these countries. However, we should hate them for inciting disagreement between Arab countries. We lose and they make a lot of money. Indeed, we should blame ourselves for giving them a chance to do so. They are like hungry lions and we are the stupid bulls. We were lost when we allowed the lion to eat one of us. We were lost when we were divided according to identity and religion.
I had a chance to study in the United States of America in 2009-2010. It was a distinguished grant that turned my life upside down. I studied media production and graphic design and took them as profession after I had spent years working as journalist. However, when the grant was over, I decided to go back to my homeland in order to be with my family and share all good and bad things with them. At that time, rumors spread among the Copts in America that the Muslim Brotherhood were about to take power in Egypt. I simply said that if my family has to suffer under such autocratic regime, I will be suffering with them out there.
I don’t know why donation ideas have spread very much in Egypt. Indeed Egypt is in bad need for such donation and it really deserves such money. However, if the government understands the value of Egyptian Pound, why it allows dollar to eat its value all the time? It was a great idea by Minister of Tourism who showed pictures of people who lost their job in tourism sector before tourists to beg for their sympathy and compassion. However, he must forgot about how Egypt treats many of her tourists including allowing them to die in terrorist attacks and even torture them to death! This can’t be how a country depends on tourism should treat its tourists! Such beggary should increase their fears instead of longing for Egypt.
Upon the revolution on Mubarak there were a lot of slogans like the most famous on translated “Bread Freedom Social Justiceâ€, and within those slogans another one translated as well “People want to change the Systemâ€; and system here was meant the government of the people in charge! Great now a new slogan come out from anti-revolution guys and the revolution here is that of 30 June that ended the Muslim Brotherhood -MB in short- controls on Egypt! Yes, controls MB never won the elections but they imposed themselves to control Egypt. The new slogan translated as well states: The system wants to change the people! Well it is a wording show that sounds like if the system was going to send away Egyptian people and may be import people from Japan or China in exchange!
In his last speech to Amr Adeb, President Sis was trying to explain the programs and projects he is willing to finfish before his first period finish. When I was listening carefully to all what he said, I found out that he was talking about housing projects, Fish Farms, in Sinai and in other places. Although, I have no problems for doing any of these projects, however, I don’t see it’s appropriate to the presidents Sisi to speak about these projects. I understand that these kinds of projects should be the responsibility of house Ministry and ministry of agriculture.
Japanese Empire celebrated last week the visit of the Arab leader and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. He went there seeking friendship and peace with the Japanese people. He asked Japan to contribute to the development and construction of modern Egypt, especially in education and transportation, etc. Japan welcomed the president and expressed its desire to participate in all projects in Egypt including Egyptian-Japanese partnership in the field of education. Sisi has succeeded in this step since Japan has great education and code of ethics as well. This is more important than importing weapons for the Egyptian army since education is more powerful.
On the anniversary of the departure of Pope Cyril VI, I would like to share this miracle that happened to me by Pope Cyril. It should be known first that millions of Copts had similar miracles done through the intersession of Pope Cyril. In 2000, I had strong pain in the abdominal area that used to last for hours. I visited the doctor who assured me I have several Gallstones. I had to undergo a surgical operation. I was listening to hymns and praises dedicated to Pope Cyril all the time. I took a nap, and all of a sudden, I had a dream that Pope Cyril is sitting next to the doctor. He asked me: “Is that the doctor who is going to perform the surgery?†“No, another doctor since this one is very busyâ€, I said.
I said in a previous article that powerful intelligence agencies were behind the incidents of al-Darb al-Ahmar aiming to incite sedition between police and the people. Yet, they failed to achieve such evil plan and the people are more united than ever. Police failed to achieve criminal security with pretext that they are preoccupied with national security or fighting the terrorist groups. However, this pretext can’t be true since achieving criminal security should ease the job of fighting terrorism.
A side of President’s trip to Japan, Korea and the rest of the countries he visited, as a personal overview while he visited the schools and I saw little Japanese boys and girls at schools I would say in full confidence those kids, Japanese or German, Egyptian or Lebanese they are all God's Angels on Earth! So beautiful welcome of those kids to the Egyptian President with Egyptian Flags! Who would say those kids are Japanese or any other nationality, they all were very organised obedient and so beautiful God bless them!
The last decree to prison 4 Coptic for 5 years gives very bad indication about Egypt and the freedom of expression inside Egypt. This sentence is not the first precedence to prison people because of their opinion and their thoughts. This let me ask the regime that question; do you want to turn Egypt to be a big prison for everyone? Before the 4 Coptic, the court prisoned also Islam Behary for 3 years, Fatma Naout and The writer Ahmad Nagy because of his novel “The usage of life†and although I might have some concerns and remarks on his novel, however, I can’t believe that the regime can prison him instead of discussing his work and shows what’s good and what’s bad in it.
No doubt that we are in bad need to spreading tolerance in our society. We sometimes can’t see one another because of intolerance. Thomas Hobbes said the perfect state is based on mind with a social contract. In the sixteen century, Catholics and atheists were not subject to tolerance in certain countries since they were considered dangerous to the regime. At that time, people decided that church’s authorities should stay at the church. Politics and religion don’t mix! The religious discourse has to be renewed since clergy insist on presenting the same content at the same methods. They expect their attendees to accept that even if they don’t understand their language.
I was so sad to hear about the crisis of Minya children who were sentenced to five years in prison on charges of contempt of Islam. However, it showed that the state institutions know that Christian children are born men! Egypt sees them more adult than other intellectuals like Islam Behairy and Fatima Naaot since the children were sentenced to more years in prison than those intellectuals! The judge must find such ruling fair according the constitutional and law. Moreover, Christian girls are treated the same way before the same institutions since they are allowed to convert to Islam at any age considering them children no more!
An Egyptian court sentenced four children to five years in prison, which was denounced by several Egyptian activists and clergy and public figures. Those children had promising future and were supposed to build their country, but now they are suffering in prison along with their teacher who filmed the video 40 seconds video clip using his mobile phone in which they criticize the heinous crime of ISIS’ slighter of 21 Copts in Libya. What did those minors do to deserve such extreme punishment? They only reacted to a bloody crime against Copts that was filmed in a video that was spreader all over the world. The president ordered airstrikes against ISIS positions in Libya after their crime against the Egyptians.
Days ago, an Egyptian court sentenced a group of Egyptian Christian children in Minya to five years because of a 40 seconds video clip in which they imitate the slaughter of 21 Copts in Libya by ISIS. This means that they will be imprisoned 45 days for each second. I said in a previous article that the contempt of religion law has become a sword hanging over the necks of the Copts. A mistaken “like†or “share†on Facebook may send you to prison in no time. Copts in general refuse insulting Islam or any religion by all means. However, this law can only see defamation of Islam and ignore all defamation of Christianity.
Put it in Arabic -الدرب الاØÙ…ر- or El-Darb El-ahmar = Red Alley this was a popular neighbourhood were many Egyptians lived upon ex president R.I.P. Sadat newly empowered presidency events started and a sectarian violence spread from there in a speech Sadat said the reason was “Laundry of a Christian Priest was leaking on the laundry of a Muslim Priest who got upset and violence spread1†we note that:- 1. The fault started from a Christian 2. If it was reversed it started from a Muslim knowing Christian principals call to forgiveness this would had never become a sectarian violence!
Once the member of the parliament Tawfik Okasha hosted the ambassador of Israel in his house and all the media and politician criticized him like crazy. Even more there are some voices calling to eliminate him from the parliament. What a Hypocrite society! All media and politician were trying to convince themselves and deceive us by saying that we are boycotting Israel and we are not allowed to have any cooperation with Israel.
What has happened recently by some policemen in Egypt including sexually harassing a girl who was going out of a church, beating doctors at a hospital and killing a taxi driver for dispute over fare, can’t be attributed to a conspiracy of the Muslim Brotherhood or increasing arrogance of policemen! In fact, Egyptian policemen forgot everything about dignity of Egyptian citizens 40 years ago. They got used to hit the people inside police stations and even arrest innocent relatives of people wanted by police.
The beloved homeland has been facing several conspiracies by people who trade on the nation. Enemies of the nation panned to destroy the Egyptian state and divide it. Yet, such scheme was foiled by the revolution of June 30. Those traitors and the conspirators decided to reapply the scenario of January 25 by spreading a set of rumors about the failures of the government, the repression of policemen, and the gloomy future in Egypt. They didn’t realize that Egypt now is different from before. Therefore, the president called the people in his speech before the parliament to remember that we foiled several conspiracies and we’re facing more right now.

First, I offer my sincere condolences to the martyrs who shed their pure blood as a result of the vicious terrorist act that targeted the Petrine Church in Cairo.
