The Egyptian society has changed a lot after the revolution of January 25. This revolution therefore gave life to the people who were considered dead. The Egyptian president announced that the current situation is challenging. Thus, we have to work hard for the sake of our country. With several achievements, the Egyptian people were reassured and asked for more prosperity without more work. Many people thought that prices will go down and food will go cheaper. They forgot that several challenges are facing the country including terrorism that aims to destroy the state by all means.
35 years ago, I decided to migrate to Switzerland, the beautiful country that I moved to without facing sectarian pressure of my home country. Sectarianism was not clear in Egypt at that time. I remember the cultural shock I had at the first period of migration that had great impact on me. I was born and raised in a conservative community that considers its ideas the absolute truth. For example: we thought that the Egyptians are the best people all over the world, and that our ideas are the best among the nations! We loved such ideas at that time since they fed our pride and joy. We didn’t even care after all about our real situation among the nation.
Dr. Khaled Montaser , a physician and journalist who writes articles for Al-Masry Al-Youm and other newspapers, talked about an important issue affected all Egyptians , in a public seminar that held days ago for seculars. He talked about the dangerous link of the holy religion that is fixed and the variable science, in another meaning the seriousness of what is called "scientific miracles in the religions" and that not only the religion of Islam, but in all religions. This caused massive attacks against him calling him infidel that should be killed.
When I think about the current events in our country since we got rid of the Muslim Brotherhood’s regime in Egypt, I move back and forth between optimism and pessimism about the future of our country. I feel optimistic while thinking about the future of the Egyptians who suffered for long from decreasing morals in the streets as well as losing human feelings within the community in general. However, people in Western societies enjoy more morals and human feelings even if they don’t have to assure them by religious belonging. President Sisi's efforts to develop Egypt makes me optimistic, but I lose such optimism when I find the majority of Egyptian people not willing to work hard in order to achieve better further
I lived in Switzerland that’s according to the UN has the happiest people all over the world, and also lived in Egypt that came in the 155 place at the same list. I have to think and compare between the two countries. Switzerland is a well-developed country where Egypt is still struggling to fight retardation and illiteracy. I wondered as I saw the Egyptian people respecting the law in Switzerland and system even better than the Europeans. There, the streets are clean and appealing unlike the dirty ones here. Furthermore, the people u
Five years have passed since the departure of Mr. Adly Abadir. As time passes, we make sure we lost such patriot Coptic activist. All Coptic activists know his contribution to the cause was great. In fact, he is the only Coptic activist who sacrificed that much of his time and money for the Coptic cause. He founded and financed Copts United electronic newspaper to express the voices of Copts all over the world.
Egyptian media has failed to realize the needs of the Egyptian youth who seek raising standards of living under Mubarak regime. They used to see the corrupted rich people dreaming and achieving their dreams under Mubarak regime. Seeking better life, they demonstrated against Mubarak and his regime in January 25, 2011. They demonstrated against an old regime that supported corruption and rubbish. Thus, they started to clean the streets hoping the minds will be clean as well. The great positive power in the revolution was misused by media. It was described as a revolution of losses. Such suppression benefited the Islamic currents that describe their new revolution as protection to Islamic Sharia.
Management science is one of the most important sciences applied in developed countries. However, in Egypt it’s a bit different as we don’t care about management science in our lives or even large institutions. Public employment has always been a dream for many Egyptians long years ago. Those employees care much about their rest rather than their work. In the work, they just talk and never get punished for their many mistakes. When they are about to receive some punishment, they only have to ask for the director's compassion for the sake of his children!
After living in two continents, the first where I was born and raised, and the second where I worked and succeeded. In Africa I grew up, and moved to Europe to work. In fact, I had only left Egypt physically, as my heart couldn't move away. I swear I thought about Egypt each single day hoping she will be better and get speedy recovery. Spontaneously I compared between the two civilizations in Egypt and Europe which makes Egypt looks very bad. However, I still believe the Egyptians have the ability to change and improve.
The Egyptian army responded to the desire of the people, and carried out a unique operation by liberating Egypt from the terrorist group. This group continued harming Egypt by defaming her all over the world, which was used by many countries aiming to destroy Egypt and make the revolution of June 30 look like a military coup. European people who suffered greatly from the scourge of war, especially under the Second World War and the Nazist, and now are only thinking of improving standards of living and renouncing abuse of the others. For thirty years, I was watching the European people changing and improving their way of thinking.
Many Egyptian people believe they enjoy high morals, more than those who belong to the Western countries, whose inhabitants are described as degenerate by many people in the Middle East. In fact, those Middle Eastern people usually use religion to cover their deviation, just like members of the Islamic currents did in Egypt, which makes the intellectual perversion in Egypt even clearer. Those people claim virtue, and repeat sayings of great western intellectuals without even understanding what they mean by such sayings.
TV talk shows keep publishing recorded phone calls of political activists who participated in the revolution of January 25, and later traded on it and betrayed it. Therefore, it was normal for many people to lose confidence in the revolution and start asking: Was it a real revolution or just a big conspiracy? It was clear that there were some invisible dirty hands, which wanted to take advantage of the youth of the revolution and use them, just like the terrorist group of the Muslim Brotherhood did.
Four years have passed since Eng. Adly Abadir, founder of Copts United organization has departed. Yet, the Copts should be united in mourning for him as we lost such great man and leader. This honest man was great supporter for the Coptic issue and a real humanitarian as well. He was not only a human rights activist, but devoted his time and money to help the Coptic issues and rights through many ways including Copts United website.
The revolution of June 30 has achieved a dream of the Egyptian people and especially the Copts to remove the Muslim Brotherhood from power after their great failure that led millions of Egyptians in the streets demanding the overthrown of their government. Furthermore, people have given mandate to the army in order to face the terrorism of the Muslim Brotherhood that planned to destroy the Egyptian history and was about to give away parts of the Egyptian land.
The terrorist group of the Muslim Brotherhood is waging a war of attrition against the Egyptian state in two ways. First, it moves its supporters to protest in vital places causing massive traffic jam. Additionally, they use huge financial support to reserve their presence in the streets hoping that ousted president Mohamed Morsy will come back as leader of their imaginary so-called Islamic caliphate.
Catherine Ashton is currently visiting Egypt to offer a draft of 6 points, approved by the EU and the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood. Her initiative aims to deceive the Egyptian government by inviting the Muslim Brotherhood to recognize the road map, stop its demonstrations, and denounce the terrorist attacks in Sinai. Such initiative reflects the cunning diplomacy of the European administration to solve the crisis in Egypt.
Nine years ago, on September 23, the late Eng. Adly Abadier had invited the Coptic activists all over the world to participate in a Coptic conference in Europe that was entitled: "Copts under Siege", which aimed to unify the Coptic work and effort to claim their rights and equal citizenship with the majority of Muslims in Egypt.
Each day, we hear about the achievements of protestors at Rabaa El Adaweya sit-in. They built bathrooms in the streets as well as a theater for entertainment. Furthermore, they built fortifications in order to defend their holy land and prevent “the enemies” from reaching their camps. Those protestors are willing to defend their sit-in and to sacrifice even the minors they kidnapped from orphans’ shelters and women who seek martyrdom in order to please God as they were told in that sit-ins.
Weeks have passed since the great uprising of June 30 took place, in which the Egyptian people could ger rid of the Muslim Brotherhood who cause a lot of damage to Egypt in just one year in power. Such damage was not even caused by the English occupation for Egypt in 72 years.
I lost my mind few hours after I had arrived to Zurich, Switzerland, as I heard in their media that what happened on June 30 was but a soft military coup. Many politicians here in Switzerland claim that the leaders of the army had planned to overthrow the Muslim Brotherhood by the mobilization of citizens to protest after they had blocked supplies of gas and diesel fuel, as well as cut off electricity for long hours
After hearing the statement of the Armed Forces on July 3, many Egyptians rejoiced as the Muslim Brotherhood was overthrown. However, Western and American media described this great victory in Egypt as a coup.
