Richard Nixon, President of the United States showed respect for the Egyptian soldiers who sacrificed their souls and fought well during the war of October 6th. This is still true until today as the Egyptian soldiers are well-appreciated. This was clear when officer Mohamed Ayman decided to sacrifice his soul in order to save his colleagues in the battalion. He continues what Egyptian soldiers started 40 years ago. The grandparents fought and their grandchildren continue their hard work. They proved their bravery and steadfastness. Indeed, the Egyptian soldiers are willing to die in order to save their land and honor.
Our media tend to flatter the President who actually doesn’t like such adulation. He prefers to face criticism in order to learn and fix errors. Therefore, the president tried to change that and said he complains to the people. He didn’t threaten to close newspapers or channels as media do enjoy unprecedented freedom. Before, we couldn’t even criticize the president! In Turkey, journalists are arrested and even killed. Anti-Erdogan newspaper was attacked and burned. Several satellite channels were closed and the opposition is under attack of the government and terrorists as well.
A terrorist cell was arrested in Nasr City on charges of inciting another revolution. The cell consists of five members. The number is little indeed, but they can do a lot supported by other members of the Muslim Brotherhood or other terrorist cells in different places. However, they were charged with preparing for another revolution or what can be called preparing to overthrow the government. They may be terrorists and members of the Muslim Brotherhood, but I believe they are not the real one inciting such revolution. I don’t say this to protect them, but to clarify facts about the real people who incite another potential revolution.
It was coincidence that the historical city of Alexandria was flooded by heavy rain at the time the government is thinking about floating exchange rates of the Egyptian pound. Both governors of Alexandria and the Central bank resigned at the same time as well. Governor of Alexandria denied his resignation hours before it was confirmed. The governor of the central bank did his best to save the Egyptian economy, but governor of Alexandria didn’t do his best to prevent the disaster and had to leave.
The majority of the Egyptian people decided not to participate in the House of Representatives elections. They don’t just vote, but they vote for those whom are well known. The elite may do this to please the governors. The candidates didn’t exert a lot of effort to present themselves to the people. The president didn’t urge the people to participate, but invited them to do through formal speech that didn’t tough the people like improvising. He wasn’t excited during the speech unlike the first time when he urged the people to demonstrate on July 2013. He has not improvised even during the opening of the New Suez Canal Project.
ISIS may be behind Ankara bombings and not Erdogan himself. Those who love power may do more than this in order to protect this power. However, it’s painful to see people in Turkey suffering like we did and still do. I pray to God that their suffering comes to an end. I believe ISIS behind such bombings though Erdogan supported them all the way. He gave them weapons and provided medical care for their fighters. Yet, they paid him back by killing his people. Maybe he encouraged them to do so for some reason, or they may betrayed him after the Russian bear attacked them using his new weapons.
In my program, I hosted with great pride two honored guests: Atef Nazmi, lawyer of the martyrs of Maspero, and my friend Isaac Ibrahim, human rights activist and member of the Egyptian initiative. I found myself comparing between the treatment of the international organizations to the victims of the two accidents in Rabaa Adawia and in Maspero. However, I am sorry for conducting such comparison between those who demonstrated peacefully demanding freedom and equality, and those who carried weapons and incited violence. They even refused to evacuate the place ignoring all warnings of the security forces.
In an interview with Al-Jazeera satellite TV, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey harbors two million Syrian refugees, while Europe harbors only eight hundred thousand refugees. However, he did not tell us how they live in Turkey and why many of them would rather die in their way to Europe than staying at Turkey! Many of them also preferred Egypt to Turkey though it’s very far. He also said that he was surprised by what Russia is doing in Syria; especially that Russia has no common borders with Syria. He may realize that neither America nor France that wage wars against ISIS have common boarders with Syria, except Jordan. How come he said nothing about them as well?
The Egyptian idiom says: "chose the neighbor before the house". President Abdul Fatah al-Sisi told President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen that the PLO should be responsible for the Gaza Strip, because the current situation is not pleasing at all to Egypt. The current neighbor is taking advantage from the tunnels, and is indeed a traitor to the Arab cause. The Sudan belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood, but Egypt supports Libya in order to restore Libya! Concerning the Palestinian neighbor, Egypt knows that legitimacy is indeed with Abu Mazen and the PLO. In this situation, the house can’t be changed, but the neighbor can be.
We, the Egyptians, should respect disagreements and never let them lead them to hatred and accusing one another. I don’t agree with the president who said that the constitution was written with good intentions, but they are not able to build nations. I wonder how come he took an oath to respect such constitution that has no ability to build the nation!
It was not strange to Mubarak, who was not elected by the Egyptians, to take several mysterious decisions and keep them mysterious to the people. After Mubarak was overthrown, his men tried to continue such hateful policy, but they didn’t realize the fact that the Egyptians now elect their president. President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi appointed Ibrahim Mehleb as the Egyptian Prime Minister. However, he was removed suddenly from his office for some reason like he didn’t answer a question by a journalist who belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood making the Egyptian government looks too bad, or he is involved in corruption cases like the one of the agriculture minister Salah Helal. However, we should know why he chose the new Prime Minister.
Right before the overthrown of the regime of the Muslim Brotherhood, the terrorist group announced massive gas discovery in the Western desert of Egypt. The MB talked too much about it, but suddenly the news was denied. At that time, we knew that it was propaganda by the Muslim Brotherhood aiming to claim that they only bring good to Egypt.
Governor of Qaliobia appeared in a video underestimating the explosion at Counter Terrorism Department. The governor continues his negligence to consider such terrorist attack a natural one like dozens of terrorist attacks in Sinai. Surveillance cameras didn’t work, but the comment of the governor is the real crisis. I doubt he understands that the terrorists have attacked Counter Terrorism Department.
I had decided not to talk about the private life of any official, since we usually exaggerate the matter in Egypt. However, I found the death of the mother of the president a matter to talk about since the death of the mother of a strong man is really painful. The president decided not to receive condolences in mass media. He decided to save a huge amount of money to be donated for Egypt.
Qatari Foreign Minister offers the services of his country. He couldn’t find better than Prince Tamim as a mediator between the Muslim Brotherhood and Egypt! It looks like the opening of the New Suez Canal made the terrorist group feel that it is in dire need to comply with the state? Now the terrorist group is ready to humble itself before the Egyptian people and President al-Sisi. However, the Qatari Foreign Minister called the Egyptian regime: regime of President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi. He insists to add certain words to each statement like his saying: Qatar always contacts all parties that have a national vision, which is a big lie as they only communicated with the Egyptian government when they demanded to restore their 1 billion US$ deposit back that they had offered to the regime of the Muslim Brotherhood.
If you want to look like a hero, you may invent some fairy tales claiming they are very true. Marzouki, president of Tunisia, who belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood, told the Huffington Postthat he suffered during his reign in July 2013 a coup that lasted for two months. This is such a wonderful imagination and great timing of one leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. He doesn’t realize that there was neither military coup in Egypt nor in Tunisia. Of course, the Qatari money that he has received should encourage him to invent more and more of these fairy tales.
I understand that supporters of former President Nasser want to make a hero of the president. Yet, such attempt is totally rejected when it comes against Egyptian history. Last week, Egypt celebrated the 63rd anniversary of the July 23 revolution. This revolution started as a movement inside the Egyptian army, then a military coup, then a revolution by the Free Officers, not certain officers like Nasser or Mohamed Naguib. At this occasion I used to write about the mistakes of Nasser at this revolution and after that. Yet, I stopped doing so after the Muslim Brotherhood came in power as they used to wrong him. I even started to defend the man against their lies as I don’t accept such lies.
I do not allow anyone to discuss my intentions or manipulate them. Everybody should be free and responsible. Yet, in our country, such freedoms are granted by the constitution, and manipulated by anti-terrorism law. The government fear articles more than booms. In our country, there are rivers of blood that need justice, but can’t find them. Here, it is important that we shut our mouths and accept that anti-terrorism law. How does he who drafted such law think? I know that the upcoming parliament should be able to cancel that law. This is nonsense. In fact, I am lucky that this article was written before the law is passed, or else I should have been considered a unique terrorist who carry exploding articles.
I am writing this article about the last year of the reign of Sisi in Egypt, I see him as a surgeon not just a president and he needs for a scalpel to carry out a lot of operations and to make them succeed and to amputate lots of obstacles and to correct corruption in the administrative system. However, It’s important to assess his performance in order to help him do his job. I am talking here about president al-Sisi and Copts during the first year of his ruling. It’s true that he visited the Great Cathedral during the holy Mass of Christmas, but he did not visit it in the Easter. May be it was just a courtesy for that Salafis who consider congratulating the Copts on Easter kind of infidelity. Yet, the Copts don’t accept such courtesy.
I have many questions concerning the amnesty given by President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi to some prisoners, most of whom belong to the Muslim Brotherhood. Who made such list and why? Is it true that Saudi Arabia or Germany has interfered to impose reconciliation with the terrorist organization? Mr. President, Why did your amnesty not include names like Mounir El Masry, Youssef Shaaban and Mohamed Iraqi? the first and the second were arrested in the reign of the MB because they demonstrated against them and the last one was accused of trying to overthrow the regime of the Muslim Brotherhood. Therefore, they should have been released long time ago right after the MB regime was overthrown.
In this world, there are some persons lacked morality and live in the land unashamed, they do mistakes claiming that they are persecuted, those people forgot that there is punishment in life such as Mohamed Morsi, the former president of Egypt, he should be applied to punishment because of spying on his country , disloyalty, belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization and the other crimes, which must led him execution by shooting. Morsi and his party do not believe that they are criminals because they can't understand, they only believe that their party above all and they can't realize
