St. Mary Church in Moleha, Cairo, held the third day funeral for two sisters who were killed in the terrorist attack against the Petrine Church in Cairo on Sunday.

Funeral of Angel Anwar was held today at the Petrine Church after she died of her wounds. Angel was injured in the terrorist attack that targeted the Petrine Church in Cairo on Sunday.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, said in his speech at the official funeral of the martyrs of the Petrine Church attack that investigations revealed the name of the terrorist who carried out the attack.

Fatwa House issued a statement to denounce recent terrorist attack against church in prophet’s birthday. Statement added that the terrorists chose the day of the prophet of mercy to kill innocent people. The Fatwa House also called to avoid sectarianism in Egypt and unite against terrorism.

Ambassador Hatem Seif, Ambassador of Egypt to the Vatican, said that he had received a telephone call on Sunday from the office of Pope Francis to offer their condolences for the victims of the recent terrorist attack on Coptic church. Pope added he prays for peace and progress in Egypt in such hard times. He called for facing such hatred ideology and terrorism.

9 new dioceses have joined the project of Pope Tawadros to train church leaders during the third phase of the project. The project aims to train church leaders on using sources of education in the church.

12 new monks were ordained for the monasteries of St. Shenouda (the red monastery), St. Begoul (the red monastery), and Archangel Michael monastery of the Eastern mountain in Suhag.

During his pastoral care visit to England, Abba Paula, bishop of Tanta, ordained two new deacons at St. Mary and St. Abraam in Brighton.
