Recently, President Morsi has announced that he approves the first church in his era for the Copts. But we should be careful here; this church is not from Morsi but for him. You might ask what does it mean for him? It means that Morsi wanted to tell the Copts, at this time especially, that he is tolerant although he doesn’t mean the Copts surely, but he means the international community. Coincidently he is traveling to London soon.
Angelina Jolie announced recently that she did a surgery removing her breasts due to a gene she could have according to her family history. I feel sorry for that and sympathize greatly with her. I can feel how much she is brave to make a decision like that. She was actually forced to make this decision. It is hard a decision for anyone to make especially since she is a famous woman.
Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Iran are all almost running out of Christians. Does anyone think this could be a hidden strategic plan to run the region out of Christians? I’m wondering, in Iraq, after the war with the United States, have Christians in Iraq began to be killed and murdered on purpose?
In a recent movement called “Rebel” we have began to see fears in the Muslim Brotherhood. Has anyone ever understood how much the Muslim Brotherhood is a small, fragile group? I completely admire this movement because in just a few days it achieved what all the oppositions couldn’t since a long time ago.
Morsi hasn’t established a good atmosphere for any national dialogue. On the contrary, he divided all communities, all people, and all nations towards his policies. Even the Salafis turned against him. Why? Because Morsi is a Dictator. We now see what a real dictatorship is.
First I want to say Happy Easter to all the Christians around the world. Today is Easter and this feast is gives us hope. Hope of a new life and hope of new chances. We need this feeling, especially since these days where everything around us is depressing and disappointing.
The political powers right now are divided between 2 attitudes, one of them is asking the army to come back and be in charge, and the other is calling for a new election. The question we have to ask now is, "Which choice is the best?" Do we have to choose between these 2 choices, or is there a new alternative?
We can be against the United States, as we want. We all don’t like some of their policies towards the world. We all don’t like the States supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, which we believe helped Egypt go backwards as a result. Despite all of the previously mentioned, we respect the States because it is a country that follows the law and applies it to its citizen without any discrimination.
The Copts have been continually suffering from persecution and killed by the Muslims for a long time. During this persecution, some Copts have been killed and others injured. Some lost their main source of life from perhaps injuries during these accidents or because their shops were burned.
Persecution of the Copts continues to be very severe within the last days. From my point, we are yet about to see a series of persecution. I’m not trying to be pessimistic but I’m trying to analyze the reality. When there is no security, no law, no police, no justice, and no moral values, what we should expect?
Freedom of speech is one of the fundamental rights that have been authenticated in the Human Rights Declaration. Egypt is one of the countries that created the declaration, which means it is committed by such rights and also it is required to protect this freedom not attack it.
The current scene in the Egyptian community pushes us to stop and think for a while about a real solution for the situation at hand. Before this analysis, however, we should admit that the Muslim Brotherhood is one of the main factors responsible for the chaos we are now living in. We have to be sure that if the Muslim Brotherhood showed any hint of wisdom and pragmatism in dealing with the political situation, we wouldn’t have reached to such a state.
There are many people still asking why Pope Benedict resigned. There are many possible answers such as age, health, corruption in the Vatican, or even the scandal of sexual harassment related to some of the priests in the Vatican. It could also have been the only way to amend current relations with the Muslim world. There are many different interpretations as to why, but the only thing that all people can agree on is that he left his position for the interest of Vatican, as he himself announced many times.
Who is responsible for burning Egypt now? The Muslim Brotherhood is. Who is responsible for penetrating the law? The Muslim Brotherhood is. Who is responsible for the chaos that Egypt has now? The Muslims Brotherhood is. Who is responsible for non-agreement between political powers? The Muslims Brotherhood is.
All we hear nowadays is about participating or boycotting the controversial parliamentary elections. The Muslim Brotherhood’s vendetta to capture the entire country is now clear. It is also clear that they do not care about what’s in the country’s best interests.
What happened in Tunisia lately with the assassination of Shokry Bal Aeid is by no means similar of what is happening in Egypt. Egypt has taken part in assassination far before Tunisia. The killing of Mohammed Guindi, the stripping of a person in front of the presidential palace, and the taking away of women’s rights, is assassination! Furthermore, those who believe in the Muslim Brotherhood taking power and being a responsible government are ignorant.
