Qatari news agency QNA reported Sunday that the Qatari Interior Minister Abdallah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, and Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani dispatched a congratulatory cable to Egypt's new President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, welcoming him into office.
Egypt severed relations with Qatar over it declared rejection of transitional authorities that ousted its major ally, Mohamed Morsy, and the Muslim Brotherhood from Egypt's rule last year. It hosts a number of fugitive Islamist and Brotherhood leaders. The kingdom is reportedly leaning towards deporting those figures in response to Gulf pressures.

Representatives from Lebanon, Algeria, Libya, Emirates, Mauritania, Tunisia, Morocco and Djibouti, Secretary generals of Organization of Islamic Conference and Gulf Cooperation Council will attend the inauguration ceremony.
On the African side, presidents of Equatorial Guinea,Chad,Eritrea and Mali, vice-president of South Sudan, prime ministers of Swaziland and Liberia. Foreign ministers of Senegal, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Madagascar, Guinea-Bissau, Angola, Burundi, Gambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Congo and Benin.
Representatives of South Africa, African Union and COMESA will be there.
On the international level, Greek vice-premier and foreign minister, president of Cyprus, speaker of the Russian Parliament Duma, chief of Inter-Parliamentary Union, deputy secretary general of the United Nations, Chinese minister of industry and information technology, Iranian deputy foreign minister for Middle East Affairs and an adviser to US Secretary of State will take part in the inauguration of Sisi.
A ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday evening at Qubba Palace. Around 1,200 figures representing the Egyptian society are invited. Speeches will be given by the outgoing president Adly Mansour and the President-elect Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, according to a statement by the presidency.
As the motorcade arrives, the artillery will launch twenty-one shots in the air followed by the national anthem, and Interim President Adly Mansour will receive Sisi on the palace's staircase to greet him.
The statement said Sisi would receive after that kings and heads of states, governments, parliaments and delegations participating in the inauguration ceremony.
Mansour, Tayyeb, Tawadros, Defense Minister Sidqy Sobhy, and Secretary General of the Aran League Amr Moussa attended Sisi's swearing-in at the Supreme Constitutional Court before they headed to the presidential palace to attend the inauguration ceremony.
Mansour is scheduled to deliver a speech, followed by another by Sisi, after which they would sign a document of power handover; the first of its kind in the political history of Egypt.
The ceremony is expected to see a large international presense, including representatives from Arab and Islamic countries and international organizations.
Acting Chairman of the Supreme Constitutional Court Maher al-Behairy said during the oath that Sisi "won the trust of people who chose him as president of the country," and described him as the "righteous son of Egypt and the rebellious soldier."
The Presidential Elections Commission had announced that Sisi garnered 96.7 percent of the eligible votes in the 2014 presidential elections.
