Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, said his visit to Canada came to celebrate the fifty years anniversary to starting the Coptic ministry in Canada and the ordination of the first Coptic priest to minister in South America.
Pope thanked the Canadian authorities and Coptic bishops for welcoming him.
