Three were injured in an explosion in a bus station in Port Said in the early hours of Thursday, Aswat Masryia reported.
The explosion came from a hand grenade believed to be thrown by unknown assailants that drove by in a taxi. The grenade tore apart a bus and broke the glass windows of several cars parked beside it, according to the Middle East News Agency (MENA).
A second explosion took place at the same time targeting a bus that belongs to Misr Petroleum Company, parked in a street of Al-Zohour district in Port Said.
No injuries were reported from the second explosion.
Dozens of explosive devices went off or were diffused by police around Egypt on the anniversary of 25 January revolution and the days that followed.
The country has been battling a growing insurgency that targets its security forces in Sinai, the capital and the Nile Delta cities.
Attacks have spiked in the year and a half that followed the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi, with recent smaller bombs in civilian areas.
