Parliamentary elections postponed by law

The Supreme Constitutional Court (SCC) ruled the Electoral Districts Law unconstitutional, resulting in the postponement of parliamentary elections until the questioned law is amended.

The court refused other appeals on the law defining political rights issued ahead of the presidential elections last May, and the law organizing the establishment of the parliament. The Electoral Districts Law was issued by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi last December, and includes two sections. Each divides the country into electoral constituencies, according to the two voting systems available: the closed list and the individual list.

I wonder why didn't the SCC offer some advice before we reach such situation where the Muslim Brotherhood and supporters of the former regime manipulate our future and the road map is hindered for no good reason.

However, the new law should take into consideration the dream of the Egyptian people of a change seeking a better life for Egypt and its people. They need development and progress for their children. The new Parliament should support such goals in order to bring peace for their future and enable them to face the schemes of their enemies.
