2 attacks on electrical units leave parts of 10th of Ramadan city in the dark

No casualties were reported in the Wednesday blast. 
 
Power has been cut off in most of the industrial city in eastern Sharqiya since Tuesday night when an explosive device went off at a separate transmission unit servicing the city's industrial district.
 
The 10th of Ramadan city, one of Egypt's most prominent industrial cities with a population of 250,000, is known for engineering, chemical and textile industries. 
 
Most factories are located in the area where the explosions took place.
 
Electricity had not been fully restored on Wednesday morning.
 
Police have started an investigation. 
 
In recent months, Islamist militants have increasingly attacked economic targets in urban areas across Egypt, such as electricity pylons and mobile-network stores.
 
Egypt is set to host an international conference to attract major investments in its economy in Sharm El-Sheikh on 13-15 March.
