Egypt’s Minister of Endowment Mohamed Mukhtar Gomaa met Monday with a number of Minya’s parliamentarians to discuss the recent incidents witnessed in the province’s village, Youm7 reported.
MP Ashraf Shawky stressed the need for appointing new preachers to the governorate during the coming period, saying, “Over 80 percent of Minya’s preachers have not been hired by the ministry. They have no experience or knowledge about the Islamic moderate teachings.”
He blamed, during the meeting with the Egyptian official, the presence of such preachers for the consecutive incidents witnessed in the province.
