Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met with the UAE's Foreign Minister Abdullah Bin Zayed in Cairo on Thursday, where he stressed the importance of the Arab Gulf's security to Egypt, the Egyptian presidency announced.
According to the statement issued by the Egyptian presidency, President El-Sisi told Bin Zayed that Arab national security, including the Gulf's national security, was part of Egypt's national security.
El-Sisi added that Egypt would not hesitate to give support and help to the Arab countries if they were attacked in any way.
The two officials also discussed the latest regional developments in the Middle East especially in Syria and Yemen as well Egyptian-Emirati bilateral relations.
Bin Zayed is currently in Cairo to attend the Arab League's meeting of foreign ministers.
