One civilian has been killed and six injured on Sunday after a roadside bomb exploded in North Sinai, Egypt's state news agency MENA reported.
The explosion took place on the Rafah-Sheikh Zayed road. The injured have been moved to Arish hospital.
Roadside bombs are frequently planted by Islamist militants targeting security forces in North Sinai.
Security forces have been battling an Islamist insurgency in North Sinai over the past years. The ongoing battles have left hundreds of security forces killed as well as militants.
