Bayadeya Village celebrates St. George feast

Bayadeya village celebrated the feast of St. George by holding carnival in the streets.

Deacons have chanted for the feast and one of them dressed as the saint riding a horse and holding a sword.

I took a taxi in Alexandria and the driver was talking very proudly about Mona, the lady of Alexandria who was recently honored by the president for her struggle to provide for her family. The driver told me that people in Alexandria love Mona and talk about her hard work and struggle. She carries bags of food and delivers them to shops. She is an example of great Egyptian women.
