Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi arrived on Thursday in the United Arab Emirates of Abu Dhabi on a two-day visit to attend the UAE 's celebrations of its 45th national day.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the Crown Prince and Deputy in Chief of the UAE armed forces, received El-Sisi at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
During the visit, the president is scheduled to meet UAE senior officials to discuss latest developments in the Arab region and ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between Cairo and Abu-Dhabi.
Earlier in November, El-Sisi held talks in Cairo with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan during a short visit by the Crown Prince to Egypt.
In statements Bin Zayed stressed his country’s unshakeable support for Egypt in light of the special relations that bind the two countries.
The UAE, a key ally of Egypt, has supported Cairo economically and politically since the ouster of former Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in 2013.
