Egypt's Minister of Defence Sobhi Sedky visited Sunday’s Cairo church bombing injured survivors, who are receiving treatment at El-Galaa military hospital in the capital, the Egyptian Armed Forces spokesperson announced on his Facebook page.
Sedky told the survivors said that the Egyptian army and police will continue in their mission to eradicate radicalism and terrorism.
Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy accompanied the minister on the visit.
At least 25 people were killed and 49 were injured in the suicide bomb attack, which took place inside the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, which is attached to the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo's Abbasiya district.
The Islamic State militant group has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
