I can’t understand why. But maybe I shouldn’t be asking “why” but asking “how.” How are they so happy? How do have this joy that fill a room? Is there some kind of secret that I don’t know about?
I don’t know what the answer is. Maybe the key to joy is not in what happens to us, but how we happen to life. Does that make sense? Not so much, right?
Think of this: the most impoverished people are the happiest people. Tragedy hits everyone equally, it does not discriminate. In one way or another, you will face disasters in your lifetime. So maybe since heartbreak is a known factor in the equation of happiness, we need to change a different variable, which is our attitude.
If we treat the problem as if it’s not there, or just merely a fact of life, rather than something “happening to us” maybe we can approach life in a more positive outlook? And everyone knows positivity is contagious. Even if you are in the worst mood, it only takes a beautiful heart or energetic person to cheer you up.
So what if you could be that person having that positive attitude? What if you were that person responsible for bringing joy to the atmosphere? What if your reaction to a terrible event, not “why is this life so unfair” but maybe “how can I get over this to continue my life?” If something keeps bothering us like pressures in life or food prices, it’s not going to help to keep stating the fact, and then saying “what can I do” maybe if we treat the terrible facts in life as just facts, we don’t spend so much time dwelling on the negative? Who are we helping to say “what can I do” What kind of feeling do you have after completing that conversation with someone? What is your mood after those words are mentioned?
I heard a saying; don’t spend more than five minutes on something that you will forget about after five minutes. I think this is brilliant, and it is this lifestyle that will improve our life, our joy, our attitude, our relationships, our family, our destiny. Why dwell on something that is a fact? Accept the fact, move on, find your joy.
I don’t know. This has just been a piaster from me; maybe it can make us all millionaires in our hearts?
