CAIRO - The Egyptian Embassy in Washington paid for a visit made by Gamal Mubarak, son of the former President Mubarak, to Washington in early 2009.
An official source in the Egyptian Embassy has denied this, according to the official Middle East News Agency.
The source pointed out that the Embassy organised many meetings for Gamal Mubarak with a number of US officials and research centres in Washington, as it has also done for representatives of the former ruling National Democratic Party (NDP), opposition parties and representatives of Egyptian NGOs.
