CAIRO - An Egyptian lawyer started legal proceedings to challenge a decision by the judge trying former president Hosni Mubarak and his two sons to ban the live broadcast of the trial, insisting that the decision is illegal and unconstitutional.
The lawyer, Mahmoud Hassan Abul Einein, said that, in making the decision to ban the broadcast of the trial, Judge Ahmed Rifaat overlooked the fact that he is trying the former president and his two sons on criminal charges. "The trial itself is exceptional because it happens amid revolutionary circumstances," Abul Einein stressed.
