In a conference held on Saturday, Victims of Personal Status movement demanded the government to pass a civil law for marriage and divorce of the Copts.
It also called to return the 1938 regulation that accepts 9 reasons for divorce including abandonment and companionship impossibility.
For his part, Hani Ezzat, founder of Victims of Personal Status movement, said that there are several books that assure that the 1938 regulation was taken from the holy bible.
