Another group of 100 detained youth to be pardoned: official

 The second group of the Egyptian detained youth who will be released per a presidential pardon will be announced soon, Youm7 reported an anonymous security official on Sunday.

 
The second group includes names of 100 detained persons, mostly from youth, the official added.
 
A total of 82 detained youth were released on Wednesday per the pardon decree issued by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi. The released youth includes T.V. anchorman Islam El Beheiri, who serves one-year prison sentence over charges of insulting religion.
 
Most f youth released were academic students who were arrested over breaching the protest law. Government has formed a committee to examine the youth inmates’ legal situations before their release.
 
A total of 203 prisoners would be released per a presidential pardon on the occasion of the October War Victory, after Prison Sector Committee reviewed the prisoners’ conditions, Youm7 reported on Thursday. Only 94 inmates will be released under certain conditions.
