Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Secretary of Defense, said during his meeting with the elders of Sinai tribes in al-Arish today that Sinai has always been supporting the Armed Forces against any foreign plans.
Moreover, he ordered that 5 desalination plants should start working by the beginning of next October to provide al-Arish, Sheikh Zuwaid and Rafah along with the surrounding villages with fresh water.
Sheik Hassan Khalaf, head of Sawarka tribe, told Copts United that Secretary of Defense has formed a committee to follow up the project on a daily basis, which he considered a promising beginning in the cooperation between Bedouins and the government.
