Mohamed Salah proud of Roma's popularity in Egypt
Egypt and Roma winger Mohamed Salah is proud of his Serie A side's fame in his homeland after his arrival to the team last season.

When asked about Roma's popularity in Egypt during a radio interview in Italy, Salah stated that "I am proud of that, so I am doing my best in my job to please all people,"

The 24-year-old Egyptian, who notched 14 league goals and set up another eight in 34 Serie A fixtures, revealed that Roma can compete for the league title next season and even has the skill to beat league title-holders Juventus.

"The team is working well as we need to appear in good form this season for ourselves and our team," Salah told interviewers.

"We work to achieve something that makes us satisfied," the Egyptian national star said. "This season the competition will be difficult so we have concentrate."

Roma earned a Champions League qualifying spot after finishing third in the Serie A with 80 points, 11 behind champions Juventus who dominated the title for the past five years.

"Juventus is a superb team, but when we will face them we will play eleven to eleven players, I think we will achieve something important this season," Salah said.

Salah has been one of Roma's key performers since joining the squad from English side Chelsea last summer. The forward carried on from where he left off in the second half of the season prior when he blossomed in a brief loan spell with Fiorentina.
