Father Raphael Sami, Priest of St. George's Church at Center Tamiya in Fayoum Governorate, said that they heard a sound of an explosion next to the church before the sunset, which resulted in smashing the administrative offices at the church and the second floor glass causing panic for all inhabitants of the region.
The incident did not result in any human casualties since the church was free of worshipers at that time.
Police were reported and security forces moved immediately to the church where the explosion occurred with bomb experts and sniffer dogs to make sure that there were no other bombs.
