A police agent was killed and another colleague was wounded early Monday when unknown attackers shot them at a checkpoint in Beni Ebeid, Daqahlia.
Daqahlia security said the victims were trying to stop a speeding car that was approaching the checkpoint before the passengers indiscriminately shot at them.
Investigators said the shooters’ car was reported stolen.a
