Abba Pachomius, Bishop of Behira and former Acting Patriarch, said that the customary reconciliation meeting in Khosous is “acceptable” in case the perpetrators are brought to justice.
He added that peace and reconciliation are of the basics of our Christian faith; however, the government should punish the perpetrators in order to ensure the safety and the stability of the community.
Pachomius added that many customary reconciliation meetings were held, but it didn’t prevent further attacks on churches.
