I’m not an economist but I had some basic training upon my studies in economy and I’ll try to explain how things work in normal life. Gold reserve one calls national gold reserves, which stand usually in the area of responsibility of a central bank or a Treasury. The purpose of national gold reserves existed in former times mostly in the covering of currencies (gold standard). Today gold is predominantly kept as national reserve for crisis periods. The state can deny e.g. unexpected extra charges by sales of the gold, and secure itself thereby thus against disasters.
Throughout the Egyptian history, there were great Coptic Christians in Egypt who participated in its civilization, culture as well as various sciences, leaving a significant impact in all fields. This list of great Copts includes Ibn al-Muqaffa', Philip Galad, General Fouad Aziz Ghali, Eng. Baki Youssef Zaki, Pope Cyril V, Pope Shenouda III, Synnott Pasha Hanna, Fakhri Abdelnour, Makram Ebeid Pasha, Fekry Makram Ebeid, Professor Mourad Wahba, Dr. Naguib Pasha Mahfouz, Dr. Magdy Yacoub, Dr. Roshdy Said, Father Dawod Potros, Mina Daniel..etc.
What's happening in Egypt now leads us to an inevitable civil war for many reasons including the horrible Constitution, about which Sheikh Borhamy said that it will allow the Islamists to raise lawsuits against anyone and for any reason they believe is insulting Islam, as well as to form an official group of "The Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice". This civil war is inevitable for many reasons including attacking judge Al-Zend by MB and their Palestinian supporters of Gaza who caused calamity to the Egyptian people since 1948. A civil war is at hand as the Egyptian people are already divided and will continue to be. A honorable terrorist announced that Egypt will be divided into faithful and non-faithful governorates. Addition, al-Qaeda has announced that Egypt will be declared an Islamic emirate soon!
Last Sunday, I went early to the church to attend an engagement party for a Christian couple who has decided to celebrate this very special occasion with God at His church. My clothes were pretty much nice and modest fits the sanctity of the place.
Wahhabi Islamists knew that the independent judiciary will be a stumbling block before achieving their dreams of seizing Egypt and changing its identity by establishing a theocratic state. Therefore, destroying the independent judiciary was a top priority in the agenda of President Mohamed Morsy and his group, even before he officially took office.
I’m not predicting the future nor a prophet inspired by God and see the future but I read events and expect things to happen accordingly all my expectations in my last week article [Vote or Boycott] came true and new illegal constitution is about to be implemented regardless of people choice as it was faked once more so the Morsy would start believing he has the majority support; may be he really believes he has it or may be who fakes results and alters voters desires never told him he is doing that who knows but this is not my subject or the day as I have more important things to say and talk about!
As the Egyptians have suffered from the Ottoman rulers and their repression and injustice, they used to gather to pray for God’s reprisals against the Ottoman rulers!
Federal Criminal Court in Switzerland has decided today not to grant Egypt the right to inspect Mubarak's funds, which are estimated at 700 million Swiss francs despite the former approval of the Swiss Public Prosecution.
A gang called the Muslim Brotherhood has been exposed along with its allies. Their filthy goals, means, and ideology in which they trade on religion nonstop were exposed as well. They have become just like a rat that caught fire and became very scared that it spread the fire everywhere.
Egypt now is at a loss politically. This serious shortage of political experience led the presidency to many random decisions that are just undone later
In the past few days a lot was said about this unconstitutional new constitution the people of Egypt are supposed to vote on it today! My article will be published after results are announced or mostly known but I still have to say what I'll say...
The US President Barack Obama made a speech in Cairo University on June 4th 2009 . In his almost hour long speech Mr. Obama outlined the United States future Middle East policy for years to come. As Barack Obama starts his second term in office it becomes very critical to examine how did his policy match the content of the speech and possibly predict what lies ahead specifically for our beloved birthplace and homeland Egypt.
At the gates of the Presidential Palace, Egyptians discovered that the Muslim Brotherhood is not a religious group, but a violent gang similar to Mafia. Egyptians knew that MB does nothing but trading on religion in order to seize power and control the people as well as the country's resources.
After the massacre of the presidential palace, Morsy has lost a lot of his legitimacy before many Egyptian citizens. He's become in a very serious situation that doesn't allow him to make important political and economical decisions. He's became like caretaker governments, and he has to get rid of his counselors who led him to such situation. Furthermore, the continual muzzle put on the media in the name of cleansing it will make the President lose more and more.
President Morsy reminds me of a story about a train driver who suddenly decided not to stop at any station till the last stop. Passengers were beseeching him to stop, but he strongly refused. While he was totally busy insulting the passengers and receiving their insults, he couldn’t see he was approaching the end. So, he couldn’t reduce his speed and crushed at the end killing himself along with many other innocent people.
Mohammed Morsy and his Muslim Brotherhood group have failed to govern Egypt, and successfully accomplished the American and Israeli assignment to: hand Sinai over to the Zionists of Hamas, weaken the Egyptian armed forces that was the tenth in the world rankings, divide Egypt and converting it to a mini-state within the imagined caliphate, destroy the Constitution and the law, and destroy the Egyptian economy.
The Egyptian grounds are a real turmoil people die and people are being kidnapped just to please a dictator who become blind and deaf! Since the dictatorship announcement 2 weeks ago and Egypt is unrest and a unified opposition had been formed lots of people followed and they proved gutless!
We know that “For every action there is a reaction that's equal in amount and opposite in direction”. However, the actions of the Egyptian president is contrary to all accepted democratic rules! Millions of Egyptians are demonstrating against the “Constitutional Declaration”, but the president has no comment as if he can't see them at all. They cry out demanding the cancelation of his “Constitutional Declaration”, and accuse the Muslim Brotherhood of acting the same as the former regime. Yet, the President doesn't listen to them.
I congratulate Muslim Brotherhood's Assembly as they've completed their job successfully achieving their goal to distort the identity of Egypt and destroy its pluralism and diversity, which the Egyptian society is characterized by against other Middle Eastern societies.
Coptic Christians living in Egypt face the challenge of the complete absence of any political representation in any effective and meaningful way at every level in the Egyptian Political System. This lack of adequate representation ranges from the local level and City Councils, all the way up to and including the Parliament in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, and of course the Ministerial Seats.
First of all, I'd like to thank all people who have supported me against the fascist tyranny of the Islamic rule in Egypt, especially Mr. Mounir Bishay, Eng. Sherif Mansour, Mr. Oliver, Mr. William Wissa, sister Ghada Malak, Dr. Awad Shafik, Copts United team led by Eng. Ezzat Polous, and of course Dr. Hany Shenouda, my dear brother who is worried for my life more than myself.
