The diocese of Shubra Al Khaimah celebrates the Golden Jubilee of the Church of the Virgin Mary in Pegam. The celebration is presided over by Bishop Marcos of Shubra El-Kheima.
The church was built in 1969, while the first mass was held inside the church on May 25, 1969.
