Dr. Shawki Allam, Mufti of Egypt, denounced statements of Sheikh Salem Abdul Jalil, former deputy of the ministry of Awqaf, in which he described Christianity as corrupted faith. Allam added that such statements contradict with Islam.
He added that the Islamic Research Academy met yesterday to discuss the statements of Abdul Jalil and issued a statement on the matter.
