Taher al-Hashemi, the Secretary General of Al al-Bayt union in Egypt and member of the international union of Al al-Bayt told Copts United that the death of Pope Shenouda is a great loss to both the Arabic and Islamic region because of his great opinions and his support for the Palestinian issue as well as preventing the Coptic Orthodox from visiting Jerusalem however it is very important for them.
He added that history will remember that he refused the interference of other countries in the Egyptian matters. He offered his condolences and of Al al-Bayt unions, not only for the Copts, but also for the Muslims and the whole Islamic nation.
